Job Description

A Fortune 100 Healthcare client is seeking a Senior Data Architect in Dallas, TX. This individual will join a team within a large analytics organization responsible for PBM data and will lead the design and implementation of enterprise data architecture solutions for key strategic initiatives. This team has various initiatives driving the work in 2025, including a large migration from Teradata to GCP, client reporting modernization work, and rebate reporting modernization work in which this Data Architect will contribute to. A portion of this role will consist of front-facing leadership responsibilities, with the rest of the role being focused on technical design and data. Although this is not a hands-on coding focused role, this individual needs to be very technically strong and will be required to be hands-on for the enablement of new services within the cloud, creating POC for market scans, and other similar tasks. In addition, this Data Architect must provide technical expertise and knowledge to the team and across the enterprise on the existing applications.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and managing large-scale data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses and cloud environments (preferably Google Cloud, Azure as secondary)
8+ years of experience in cloud native-data architectures, data integration, API-base data integration, ELT/ETL, batch, and real-time data processing.
Expertise in cloud design and architecture (Azure, AWS, preferably GCP) to deliver large-scale distributed solutions.
Extensive knowledge of data modeling, data governance, database design, data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data technologies (e.g., Spark, relational and NoSQL databases).
Proficiency with data architecture tools and platforms (e.g., ERwin, Kafka, Redis) and familiarity with cloud data services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
8+ years of experience in Python and modern data platforms like BigQuery, Redshift, Spark, Cloud SQL, DataProc, Cloud Storage & Dataflow/Data Fusion.
8+ years of experience in SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud databases, and data streaming technologies (Kafka).
8+ years of experience in orchestration tools (Airflow, Cloud Composer) and experience in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices.
Strong communication skills and experience presenting to high levels of leadership
