Job Description
A global leader in digital commerce experience and POS technology is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer III (Manual Tester) with deep expertise in POS systems and payment processing. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with manual testing, advanced proficiency in tools like PractiTest and JIRA, and the ability to contribute to cross-functional teams in developing solution-based test plans. This role requires a strong understanding of QA processes, procedures, and standards, and the ability to drive QA best practices in Agile environments. Key responsibilities include:
-Design, execute, and maintain advanced manual test cases for POS systems and payment workflows.
-Ensure stakeholder feedback is captured and reflected in test strategies and execution.
-Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
-Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing on POS hardware and software.
-Validate payment gateway integrations, transaction flows, and edge cases including EMV, NFC, and contactless payments.
-Log and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
-Use PractiTest for test case management, traceability, and reporting.
-Contribute to test strategy discussions, ensuring risk-based coverage and alignment with business goals.
-Provide clear, actionable test reports and quality metrics to stakeholders.
-Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on best practices.
-Drive QA best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Required Skills & Experience
-5–7 years of experience in manual software testing, with at least 3 years focused on POS systems and payment processing.
-Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance processes, procedures, and standards.
-Advanced proficiency with PractiTest and JIRA.
-Strong understanding of payment lifecycle, including EMV, NFC, and contactless transactions.
-Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
-Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
-Proven ability to lead and mentor junior QA engineers.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience with hardware testing (e.g., card readers, receipt printers, barcode scanners).
-Knowledge of PCI compliance and payment security standards.
-Exposure to automated testing tools is a plus.
-ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
