Job Description

The Microsoft 365 engineer is responsible for the daily optimization, support, and administration of the Microsoft 365 services across the organization. This role ensures the effective delivery, performance, and security of the Microsoft 365 platform-including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune and Power Platform services. This person will need to be a Subject Matter Expert for the Microsoft 365 environment, and will assist with licensing, user lifecycle management and M365 related projects and support strategic IT initiatives. Other responsibilities include:

Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Intune for Windows, iOS and Android to ensure proper configuration, policy enforcement and seamless device management
Leverage Azure AD to manage user identities, dynamic groups, authentication and access control, ensuring secure device and application access
Support the implementation and deployment of Microsoft Copilot, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, governance policies, and best practices
Configure and manage Azure AD conditional access polices in conjunction with Intune to enforce security compliance across all devices
Manage application deployment, licensing and updates through Intune for all North American users
Assist with onboarding and offboarding users by enrolling new devices and removing old devices from Intune and Azure AD
Oversee SharePoint site architecture, permissions, document libraries, workflows, and integration with Teams
Support the management and rollout of Microsoft Fabric components (e.g Power BI, Data Factory) in alignment with data and analytics teams
Promote adoption and best practices in Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and shared platforms
Create and maintain automation script for provisioning and managing Azure resources using PowerShell and ARM templates
Support data retention and data recovery using tools such as Microsoft Purview
Maintain system documentation and participate in change management processes

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience managing the M365 environment
- Strong understanding on the innerworkings on the M365 stack including Intune, SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD
-Experience with Microsoft Intune creating directories and group policies
-Knowledge of compliance policies within the Microsoft stack
-Microsoft Purview knowledge
