Job Description

We are seeking a Data Center Development Project Manager to support the end-to-end construction and delivery of mission-critical data center projects. This role is responsible for managing the execution of data center buildouts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all operational and tenant requirements.

Key Responsibilities
• Support and manage data center development projects from construction through final delivery and handoff
• Coordinate with construction vendors and general contractors to ensure work is completed:
o On schedule
o Within budget
o In compliance with all standards and requirements
• Act as a point of contact between QTS and tenants, supporting communication, expectations, and relationship management
• Ensure adherence to tenant-specific requirements and contractual obligations
• Maintain a clear understanding of project scope, deliverables, and milestones
• Partner cross-functionally with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive project execution
• Assist in overseeing commissioning of data center equipment and systems
• Identify risks and issues, escalating as needed and supporting mitigation efforts
• Track and report on project progress, timelines, and financials

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in:
o Data center construction, OR
o Mission-critical infrastructure environments
• Basic understanding of data center infrastructure and terminology
• Experience working with MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Power)
• Experience coordinating with third-party construction firms and contractors
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a project environment
• Exposure to commissioning processes for critical equipment
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting hyperscale or colocation data center environments (e.g., QTS, AWS, Google, etc.)
• PMP or similar certification
• Experience working on multiple concurrent projects
