Job Description
We are seeking experienced Data Center Development Program / Project Managers to lead the end-to-end construction and delivery of mission-critical data center projects. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of data center buildouts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all operational and tenant requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end data center development projects from initial build through final delivery and handoff
• Manage and oversee construction vendors and general contractors to ensure work is completed:
o On schedule
o Within budget
o In compliance with all standards and requirements
• Act as the primary liaison between QTS and tenants, managing expectations, communication, and relationship health
• Ensure strict adherence to tenant-specific requirements (tenet rules) and contractual obligations
• Maintain full understanding of project scope, deliverables, and milestones
• Partner cross-functionally with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive execution
• Oversee and support commissioning of data center equipment and systems
• Identify risks, resolve issues proactively, and drive mitigation strategies
• Track and report on project progress, timelines, and financials

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager in:
o Data center construction, OR
o Mission-critical infrastructure environments
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and terminology
• Hands-on experience working with MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Power)
• Experience managing third-party construction firms and contractors
• Proven ability to manage complex, large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with commissioning processes for critical equipment
• Strong client-facing experience with the ability to manage tenant relationships
• Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience specifically supporting hyperscale or colocation data center environments (e.g., QTS, AWS, Google, etc.)
• PMP or similar certification
• Experience with multi-site or program-level project oversight
