A healthcare employer in Houston, TX is seeking a Urology Surgery Pro Fee Coder to join their team. The ideal candidate needs to have experience reading operative reports and deciding what codes and modifiers should be selected for billing. Accurately code conditions and procedures as documented in the ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting of Physician (Profee) Service. This position also requires you to be familiar with the teaching physician guidelines. This position is remote and has a flexible daily start time.

Minimum of 3 years of experience coding Profee Urology Surgeries - coding the operative report
CPC or COC Coding Certification from AAPC
Responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and diagnostic results as appropriate to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-10-CM/CPT4 codes and modifiers for billing, internal and external reporting, research, and regulatory compliance
Knowledge of coding compliance policies, official coding guidelines, regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures affecting the coding process
High School Diploma or GED
