Job Description

An employer in the Houston, TX area is seeking a Training and Performance Manager to join their Operations team. This team is responsible for the onboarding, training, and continual development of the company's sales and logistics teams. The Training and Performance Manager will be responsible for the supporting a fast-paced, high-accountability operation. This role is heavily involved in onboarding, baseline training, SOP ownership, and administrative support, ensuring both onsite and remote personnel are trained, compliant, and operationally effective. This individual will step in as management dictates program direction, fill operational gaps, and ensure critical processes, documentation, and training materials are executed with urgency and precision. The environment is high-volume, high-security, and constantly evolving, requiring strong communication, multitasking, and same-day execution.

This is a permanent direct-hire opportunity paying an annual salary of $75,000 - 85,000.

Required Skills & Experience

3-5 years experience in the logistics industry

Experience supporting high-risk and high-security shipments and customers

Experience managing or supporting SOP(Standard Operating Procedures) -heavy operational programs

Experience with software such as: SharePoint, TMS / Tracking systems, etc.

Experience with training, development or leadership responsibilities

Ability and willingness to create and utilize training materials (PDF, PowerPoint, etc.) to engage with training groups both virtually and in person

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree
