Job Description

10+ years experience leading large IT projects including infrastructure and application development

AWS cloud and data experience

Must have previous experience as a software developer/ QA/ Or some type of technical background (ideally SQL Developer or SQL Administrator)

Experience using TFS, Jira, or any other related tools

Experience leading agile software projects

Experience working in a large enterprise level environment

Must be Hybrid- onsite 1-2 days a week in Houston

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in the airline industry

PMP, Scrum Master, or other project management certifications considered a plus

An employer is looking for aTechnical Project Manager in the Downtown Houston area. The Project Manager will be managing large complex IT projects and will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling of project activities to meet objectives to do software enhancements and software maintenance activities. This position will lead the business and IT groups through all phases of the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), and communicate effectively to Business/IT teams. Track overall project performance, cost, and schedule goals while maintaining project scope and adhering to change management processes; and coordinating all activities of the project to ensure the project progresses on schedule, within budget while delivering business value. Manage medium to large software development projects using best practices and be accountable for deliverables by understanding and balancing the competing demands for project scope, time (including! estimating), cost, risk, and quality and collaborate with other project managers to assure a consistent implementation of project management disciplines and methodologies
