Insight Global is seeking a Technical Manager to join a top energy company in Houston, TX, supporting the engineering, procurement, and construction of multiple hyperscale, mission‑critical data centers across the United States. This role serves as the primary technical point of contact, coordinating RFIs, clarifications, and execution issues while overseeing BIM and model coordination to ensure constructability. The Technical Manager ensures consistent interpretation of design documentation across projects and identifies opportunities for modularization and standardization. The role bridges technical gaps between construction, procurement, logistics, and engineering, providing technical risk visibility to program leadership to support predictable project execution. This position also maintains alignment on technical matters among construction, procurement, and engineering contractors.

Required Skills & Experience
15–25 years of experience in technical management, construction engineering coordination, or execution-focused technical leadership on large-scale projects
5 years of experience in Data Center projects
Strong background in managing execution of client-provided designs rather than producing engineering deliverables (Need to understand the differences between data center systems & why they should choose one system over another, ect.)
Proven experience coordinating multiple engineering contractors, suppliers, and construction teams (2-3 engineering design firms at a time, 3-5 construction contractors at a time)
Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical interface issues in fast-paced, multi-project environments, i.e. can identify issues with a proposed system and support in solving those issues.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or 25+ years of relevant execution-focused technical leadership experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Professional certification in Contract or Commercial Management (MRICS, CCP, or equivalent)
Training in negotiation, project finance, or risk management
Experience with large North American construction management / general contracting organizations or comparable commercial operating models
