Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Revenue Accountant for a client in the Houston, TX area. The Sr Revenue Accountant will serve as a key member of the Revenue team and will be responsible for the preparation of revenue schedules, journal entries, account analysis and reconciliation of all revenue related accounts according to client's closing schedules. Additional responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:



- Coordinate and/or perform monthly revenue close activities for clients

- Develop and perform special project activities on revenue related issues

- Identify productivity/performance improvement models for department

- Keep Management team informed on client/revenue issues

- Assist with new client set-up

- Provide training and technical support for staff accountants

- Communicate technical issues with client, associated parties, and internal departments

- Reconcile all revenue accounts monthly

- Monthly Severance Tax Reporting

Required Skills & Experience

- This position requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

- Minimum of 5 years experience in oil and gas.

- A high degree of accountability, responsibility, and attention to detail are required, as well as a demonstrated ability to work within a complex entity structure (multi-entity, multi-site) organization

- Ability to take initiative on projects and deadlines and quickly interpret data from multiple sources.

- Ability to use good judgment with a high level of discretion and confidentiality. Reasoning skills and ability to articulate logic behind decisions and identify insights (beyond basic reporting of events)

- Must have strong professional presence and effective verbal/written communication.
