Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our client’s Quality Engineering organization. Our client is a hardware and electronics services company that provides repairs, refurbishments, quality, and logistics services for OEM’s and enterprise clients.
This role is critical to ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of laptops, main logic boards (MLBs), LCD assemblies, and electronic systems across multiple business units. The ideal candidate brings deep electronics industry experience, a strong data and analytics mindset, and proven ownership of ISO 9001 certification audits, while effectively leading teams through KPI-driven quality initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Develop, apply, and maintain product quality requirements from process design through full production
- Own and drive ISO 9001 certification audits, including annual renewals, preparation, execution, and auditor engagement
- Act as the primary quality interface with external auditors and client quality teams
- Perform statistical analysis of processes using trend charts, control charts, Pareto diagrams, and fishbone analysis to drive continuous improvement
- Lead reject analysis and verification efforts, providing actionable feedback to Operations and Engineering
- Conduct process capability studies, repeatability studies, equipment correlations, and special testing as required
- Support quality validation and line readiness for new or transitioning products
- Support client-facing quality discussions and reviews on a recurring basis

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer
• Industry experience in electronics systems (laptops, motherboards, electronic assemblies)
• Strong understanding of how electronics function (hands-on repair not required)
• Proven experience leading ISO 9001 certification audits
• Data analytics experience (Power BI preferred, but other tools acceptable)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to engage clients and internal stakeholders
• Advanced Excel proficiency
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• Six Sigma Black Belt
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• IPC certifications (IPC 610, IPC 7711/7721)
