A client in the North Houston area is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team. This role will require 80%-90% front-end development and 10-20% back-end development experience. A typical day will involve updating real-time displays with acquired application data, producing relative performance data, performing advanced analysis and diagnostics for scientists to view the data on Google Chart, input data to perform plotting for customers to review, drag and drop to manipulate the cartoon of the tools, etc. This person will be working very heavily with a proprietary domain, where previous experience in a very technical domain environment is required. The ideal candidate will have previous development experience in object-oriented design and strong experience producing real-time data in a fast-paced environment. Lastly, this person will need to have communication skills as he/she will be working with multiple teams, groups, scientists, and clients. This position will be 5 days per week onsite and will have an hourly pay rate of $70-$75/hour.
