Job Description
An Automotive Financial Services client is seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Developer to lead the secure design, automation, and operation of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. This role is responsible for embedding security throughout the DevOps lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, and ensuring resilient, scalable, and compliant cloud-native deployments. The developer will architect infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation on AWS, integrate security tools into CI/CD workflows, manage container orchestration with Kubernetes and ECS/EKS/AKS, and implement monitoring with Datadog and CloudWatch. Additional responsibilities could include securing cloud operations, ensuring compliance with standards like SOC 2, conducting risk assessments and threat modeling, leading incident response efforts, and managing identity and access controls including Okta SSO. We are looking for someone to sit in Houston, TX and work 3/4 days onsite.
Targeted Pay Range: $60-$75/hr

Required Skills & Experience
8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering
Strong experience managing an AWS DevOps Environment
Proficiency in Python, Bash, Go, or PowerShell
Expertise in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
Experience with container security, IaC, and zero-trust principles
Familiarity with security testing tools and IAM practices
Experience in hybrid cloud environments and secure operations
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
3+ years in DevSecOps or secure pipeline leadership
