Job Description

Insight Global is on the lookout for a Solutions Architect to join one of our clients Systems Integration Team. This role, reporting to the Business Manager of Digital Integration, is crucial for spearheading the growth and delivery of Digital Integration services within the Energy and Materials sectors across North America. The Solutions Architect will serve as a principal consultant, offering expertise in OT hardware and software integration for Edge to Cloud solutions, and will play a key role in expanding our clients Digital Integration service offerings.
The position demands a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week, with at least 4 hours dedicated to growth-related activities such as supporting proposals, conducting demonstrations, crafting presentations, and responding to RFIs on bids. The majority of the time will be allocated to design and engineering tasks, including the review of control system architectures and the preparation of client reports. Additionally, the Solutions Architect will participate in audits and focus on the integration of data from the edge to the cloud, leveraging a solid understanding of the Purdue Model for industrial control systems and specializing in IT/OT Integration at level 3.5 or with business applications.

Required Skills & Experience

University Degree (bachelors or masters) in relevant discipline or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
Demonstrated experience in development and application of reference architectures and frameworks (such as TOGAF, SABSA, Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture, Industry 4.0, Microsoft Cybersecurity Reference Architecture, NAMUR architecture) in an industrial automation environment
10+ years of experience in Industrial Control Systems, preferably in the Oil & Gas, Refining & Chemicals, Mining & Mineral Processing, Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences industry verticals
Executed industrial projects as a Project Lead or Systems & Networks SME in Consulting or Project delivery scopes
Knowledge of industrial network protocols such as OPC, Modbus, Profibus, PROFINET, HART, Modbus TCP, Ethernet/IP, and IIoT protocols such as Industrial MQTT/Sparkplug B
