Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pipe Stress Engineer to join our team, reporting directly to the Piping Department Manager and supporting the Lead Piping Engineer on assigned projects. This role involves conducting advanced pipe stress analysis using CAESAR II, evaluating nozzle loads with WRC 107/297, and performing FEA using tools like NozzlePro or FE/Pipe. The engineer will be responsible for designing and coordinating pipe supports, developing stress design bases, preparing critical line lists, and analyzing various load cases including thermal, environmental, blast, fatigue, and vibration. The position requires deep knowledge of ASME, API, BS, and other relevant codes and standards, along with proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and AutoCAD. Responsibilities also include generating engineering deliverables, reviewing vendor drawings, supporting procurement and construction documentation, and guiding pipe designers and engineers. The candidate must be capable of organizing work, managing schedules, participating in HAZOPs and site visits, and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle—from proposal to installation and operation. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential, as is the ability to ensure engineering quality and timely delivery in a dynamic project environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
15-20 years of experience in Oil & Gas FPSO, Offshore platforms, Petrochemical, or Refinery Industries.
A minimum of 8 years of experience as Piping Stress Engineer/Lead Stress Engineer for FPSO/offshore Platform based Projects
Familiarity with codes, standards, regulations, and practices applicable to the design and construction of onshore and offshore structures/production facilities
Diverse working experience in project management, conceptual and detailed design, and construction.
Possesses a basic knowledge of offshore production process requirements and the capability of developing P&IDs from customer specifications
Able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge in Piping and layout engineering, procurement, and cost-effectiveness, with a proven track record on projects in the upstream oil and gas sector.
Well-versed in Navis works
Expert in offshore piping design and codes.
Experience in the use of Bluebeam.
Experience in the use of pipe stress analysis using Caesar II.

Strong knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and AutoCAD
