Job Description

A premier Energy Company in the Houston, Texas area is looking for an Endur Developer to join their team. The Endur Developer will be responsible for working with business and IT to deliver solutions in projects or enhancements for business needs. This role will be working in full partnership with the IT teams and Business Stakeholders to design, develop and deliver fit for purpose IT solutions. The role is part of and supports a global team. This role will primarily work with the Shell North America Crude and Products business. On a daily basis, the Endur Developer will translate functional requirements into technical specifications with inputs from subject matter experts and Design Authority; understand business requirements to pilot and prototype new solutions and technologies, including procurement, setup, development, demonstration, and deployment and support Projects and Support teams in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including Requirements Gathering, Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Implementation, and Production support for software systems. He/She will also determine and design solutions that are scalable and sustainable for a global business; develop open and trusting relationships with business stakeholders/users; and contribute/participate in local and global IT community activities. The ideal candidate will have experience with Trade Capture, Risk Management, Scheduling & Operations, or Settlements & Accounting; and experience in supporting a diverse application landscape, including change management, application testing, data integrity management, patch management and end-user support and training. You will be required to sit onsite 3 days a week between their downtown location and west Houston location. This position pays between $80-$100/hr depending on skillset and experience.

Required Skills & Experience

5-10+ years of development experience using Java or .Net 

4+ years of hands-on development in Endur using OpenJVS and/or OpenComponents

Proficient querying within SQL

In-depth knowledge of Endur’s database schema and ability to write/tune SQL

Experience with Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL and Informatica

Experienced with utilizing and implementing Endur’s Trade Process Management (TPM)

Specific experience with Trade Capture, Risk Management, Scheduling & Operations, or Settlements & Accounting

Experience working on large global teams

Experience designing complex IT solutions with the ability to provide guidance to other developers

Must be OK working onsite 3 days a week in Houston, Texas

Kafka experience
