Job Description

Serving a major utilities provider headquartered in Houston, the Right of Way Technician plays a key role in supporting the Surveying & Right of Way Division by managing land-related documentation and processes that protect company assets and reduce legal exposure. This position is responsible for reviewing, preparing, and processing a variety of land use agreements including permits, easements, licenses, and consents to encroach. The technician ensures all documentation complies with internal standards and external regulations, maintains accurate records in enterprise systems, and prepares technical reports and correspondence. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of land rights and utility infrastructure are essential for success in this role.

Required Skills & Experience

2-3 years of experience of data entry and research with land and ROW documents

High School Diploma or GED

Experience with data entry and map reviews within GIS

Experience reviewing land documents - ownership and easements

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

ArcGIS

Bachelors Degree

Utilities industry experience
