Insight Global is supporting a client in the utility sector in their search for a Qualys Analyst to join the Cyber Security department. This is a 69 month consulting engagement focused on delivering a Proof of Concept for VMDR (Vulnerability Management, Detection, and Response), a tool the company is evaluating for potential adoption.
The consultant will be responsible for assessing VMDRs functionality across workstations, servers, and various devices, including its reporting capabilities. Key tasks include operating the Qualys platform, deploying agents, and conducting hands-on testing to evaluate the tools performance and integration within the existing environment.

At least 1 year of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, with a foundational understanding of security principles and best practices
1+ year of experience working with the Qualys platform, including agent deployment and vulnerability scanning
Familiarity with VMDR (Vulnerability Management, Detection, and Response) and its core functionalities
Basic knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure, including operating systems, endpoints, and network protocols
Proven experience testing and evaluating new security tools across various environments, including workstations, servers, and other connected devices
Any relevant certifications (Security+)
