Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our client’s Quality Engineering organization. Our client is a hardware and electronics services company that provides repairs, refurbishments, quality, and logistics services for OEM’s and enterprise clients.
As a Quality Engineer you will support quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts across our client’s electronics manufacturing and repair operations. This role focuses on process quality, data analysis, and ISO 9001 compliance within a fast paced, electronics focused environment. The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor who is comfortable working primarily at a computer, analyzing data, supporting audits, and collaborating across engineering and operations teams. This position partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality leadership, and customer stakeholders and participates directly in ISO 9001 audit activities.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle, from process design through production
- Perform statistical process analysis using trend charts, control charts, Pareto diagrams, and fishbone (cause and effect) diagrams
- Conduct reject analysis and verification, providing feedback to Operations and Engineering to drive process improvement
- Support special testing, process capability studies, repeatability studies, and equipment correlations
- Prepare inspection instructions and procedures for Quality, Operations, and Customer Support teams covering mechanical and aesthetic criteria
- Participate in new product and process transitions, ensuring quality validation and smooth integration into manufacturing or repair operations
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and cross functional partners to initiate product and process improvements

Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing or electronics quality role
• Experience using Power BI (or similar tools) for quality data analytics
• Strong knowledge of inspection and analysis tools and methods (preferably in a computerized environment)
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Hands on experience using statistical quality tools (trend charts, control charts, Pareto, fishbone diagrams)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to engage clients and internal stakeholders
• Proven problem solving experience using structured methodologies
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience participation in ISO 9001 audits
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• IPC certifications (IPC 610, IPC 7711/7721)
• Experience in larger or complex electronics organizations
