An O&G Operator in Downtown Houston is looking for a Property Accountant to join their team. The Property Accountant is responsible for the property accounting functions within the framework of the client's policies and procedures and in compliance of applicable regulations.
This position will be responsible for numerous property accounting activities including but not limited to:
-Tracking and recording fuel transfers and usage on offshore vessels
-Maintaining and recording the Asset Retirement -Obligations schedule for liabilities assumed from defaulted working interest partners or successors in interest
-Calculating and recording monthly depletion, depreciation and amortization (DD&A) of oil and gas properties
-Performing quarterly Ceiling Tests to assess impairment
-Preparing and maintaining multiple account reconciliations
-Executing and revising SOX controls as needed

-3+ years of property accounting experience (at an upstream oil and gas company preferred)
-Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
-ERP system experience
-Experience in BOLO accounting system preferred
