Job Description
An Oil & Gas client of Insight Global is looking for a Project Manager to join the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) functional workstream. This person will be responsible for the 'Catalyst Project' taking place which consists of the client going through a massive transformation to replace their accounting ERP system. The PM will work closely with a few other people on their team including a BA, OCM lead and potentially other project leads. This Project Manager role will be part of a program, managing one or more workstreams. The role spans many activities from strategic to tactical and will provide important cross functional leadership -- most notably between business stakeholders and IS teams. This PM will need to be able to make decisions that best serve the business, related to projects and/or ongoing support activities. Other primary responsibilities include active management of projects, major enhancements and daily support activities where needed. Day to day this PM can expect to:
- Plan, and execute projects according to business requirements, deadlines and budget
- Will be managing a workstream with ~5 sub-streams
- Needs to be willing to speak up on risks and issues
- Ability to interact/ engage with senior leaders
- Strong documentation habits/ skills
- Collaboration within the workstream and across to other workstreams
- Ability to drive accountability and progress
This person needs to be comfortable working hybrid schedule, 2-3 days onsite (tues-thurs) in downtown Houston and WFH on M/F.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years' direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development, design and implementation of technology solutions
Deep/ strong technical PM skills -- plan management, RAID management, meeting management, status reporting
Prior Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) deployment (Ex: Oracle eBusiness Suite, Ms Dynamics AX, Oracle Fusion, etc)
Experience overseeing resources; act as a coach or mentor to project teams
Previous experience leading a team comprised of both onshore and offshore resources
Technical knowledge and experience with cloud computing or experience with cloud transformation/migration from on-prem to cloud
Experience creating and reading work orders (maintenance, repair, operations of project)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Oracle Fusion/ ERP implementation experience
PMP Certification (Project Management Professional)
Previous Oil & Gas industry experience
College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems
