An employer in the upstream Oil and Gas industry based in Houston, TX is looking to hire a PL/SQL Developer. This person would be joining the Environmental and Economic Planning Information Systems group. This team is dedicated to building and maintaining software that is used by the business and the field engineering teams to make informed decisions regarding economic forecasting. The PL/SQL Developer will be responsible for production support as well as database development. The field engineers may reach out to this team if the application performance is too slow, because the API has slowed down, and this person will be responsible for going into the database and remediating these issues. The PL/SQL Developer will be creating custom packages and enhancing query optimization. This person must be comfortable working onsite in downtown Houston 5 days per week. Based on knowledge and years of experience, this position offers an hourly pay rate range of $55-70/hr.

Minimum of 8 years and maximum of 15 years experience in Oracle database development and management
Strong PL/SQL Development Skills
Proficient in database development utilizing partitions, dbms jobs, packages, procedures, function and Oracle user defined types
Proficient in working with UI teams/applications and using cursors, XML, JSON etc
Strong SQL and PL/SQL tuning skills
Strong in creating custom oracle code
Data analysis skills to debug, trace, and fix performance problems
Not looking for DBA role , or predominant experience in reporting tools , oracle apex and ETL tolls(Informatica, Data stage etc) and oracle EBS
