Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a skilled OT Operations Engineer with deep expertise in Nozomi Networks and Operational Technology (OT) environments. This role is critical to securing OT devices across North America, with a focus on tuning, monitoring, and optimizing Nozomi-based alert systems across multiple industrial sites. He or she will be responsible for day-to-day operations within Nozomi, including running queries, updating sensors, and managing baselines. They will also collaborate with Nozomi support and internal teams to verify and reduce false positives (from 10,000 alerts/day to 400) and analyze high-alert events (e.g., access denied, root force attacks) to determine legitimacy and follow-up actions.
The role involves monitoring Operational Technology (OT) networks to detect anomalies and security threats, while continuously refining alert rules and baselines to optimize system operations. The candidate will support upcoming Nozomi upgrades and contribute to long-term planning for hardware refreshes and rollouts. Field operations are a key component of the role, requiring regular visits to multiple plant locations to update sensors and assist with hardware changes. Responsibilities also include networking and cabling tasks such as device relocation and infrastructure setup. Collaboration is essential, as the role involves working closely with a junior team member undergoing Nozomi training, and partnering with Nozomi Systems Engineers and internal security teams to enhance system performance and visibility. This person will be making $80-$86 an hour depending on experience. This role will be 5 days onsite.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
5+ years supporting Nozomi devices and OT operations.
Strong background in networking and cabling.
Experience with OT systems such as PLCs, SCADA, DCS, offshore platforms, oil wells, and chemical plant devices.
Cybersecurity experience, preferably in OT environments.
Familiarity with AWS is preferred.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Nozomi certifications are a plus.
