An Oil & Gas company in the Downtown, Houston area is looking to hire a .NET Developer. This team within the Information Systems department is responsible for creating software solutions dedicated to Environmental and Economic Planning of O&G operations. End users of the applications vary across the organization, including field engineers and executives. This person will be responsible for developing multiple application projects using C#. He/She could be required to communicate with the end users to gather application requirements and/or enhance features. Additionally, they will be doing data analysis, identifying KPIs, and using data to help resolve business problems.
This position requires an onsite presence 5 days/week. Based on knowledge and years of experience, this position offers an hourly pay rate range of $55-70/hr.

Minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional software development experience
Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET Framework / .NET Core
Proven experience in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs
Good understanding of application architecture and design patterns
Experience with Git, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD deployment pipelines
Basic knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases like Oracle and MemSQL using C# (e.g., ADO.NET, Entity Framework, Dapper)
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Experience supporting and maintaining existing applications along with developing new features
Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver on time
Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments
Understanding of performance tuning and memory optimization in .NET applications
Experience with Python or scripting tools used for integration or automation
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Prior experience in the Oil and Gas industry
