Insight Global is seeking an Accountant for a Midstream oil and gas company sitting onsite in Downtown Houston 5 days a week. This role falls under the Marketing and Trading department. This role will perform pipeline accounting for assigned affiliated companies that own and/or operate pipelines. Will gather and review volumes from the measurement data system, third parties and affiliated parties and reviews pipeline tariffs and contracts. Assembles source data and prepares monthly pipeline accounting invoices and statements for crude oil transactions. Prepares, analyzes and records monthly operational accounting close and cash entries. Monitors all pipeline accounting, including invoicing for crude oil sales and transportation fees, securing payment for all crude oil transportation. Reconciles and reports on profit/loss and pipeline imbalances. Prepares pipeline inventory reconciliations. Completes month end variance analyses and provides explanations by pipeline/asset for all revenue and operating expenses, comparing to prior month and to forecast.

3+ years of experience in an oil and gas (crude) accounting role
Experience with volume, pricing metrics, inventory, settlements, revenue accounting processes
Experience with manual journal entries in Excel (GL and balance sheet)
Experience working with counterparties, schedulers, shippers, measurement, and ticketing teams
Knowledge of SAP, Waterfield, Emerson, Quorum, Flowcal, RightAngle or similar software systems
