Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Microsoft Intune Integration Engineer for a year-long contract. This role is critical in transitioning their enterprise endpoint management from Ivanti to Microsoft Intune. The successful candidate will not only architect and stand up the Intune environment with a strict focus on implementing best practices for an exceptional customer experience but will also act as a technical mentor to the Device Imaging and Integration (DII) team. Because this transition is currently dependent on resolving existing identity and Active Directory roadblocks, this engineer must be highly adept at cross-divisional collaboration, specifically partnering with the Networking and Server Division. A primary objective of this contract is to empower, train, and build confidence within the DII team to ensure seamless, long-term Tier 3 support once the contract concludes.

Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Design & Deployment: Architect, configure, and stand up Microsoft Intune for enterprise-scale endpoint management, transitioning away from our legacy Ivanti environment.
- Customer Experience Optimization: Implement industry best practices for the end-user customer experience, ensuring that device provisioning (Windows Autopilot), application delivery, and daily usage are seamless, intuitive, and minimally disruptive for all district staff and students.
- Cross-Divisional Troubleshooting: Collaborate closely with the Networking and Server Division to remediate current Identity/Active Directory roadblocks impeding the Intune rollout.
- Endpoint Configuration: Develop and test configuration profiles, compliance policies, conditional access policies, and application deployment strategies.
- Migration Strategy: Plan and execute a phased migration of district devices (laptops and desktops) from Ivanti to Intune with a focus on zero-touch deployments and end-user communication.
- Team Upskilling & Mentorship: Lead hands-on training sessions and workshops for the DII team. Transfer knowledge systematically to build internal confidence and technical independence.
- Documentation: Generate comprehensive, clear, and standardized documentation (Standard Operating Procedures, troubleshooting guides, and architecture diagrams) for the DII and Campus Technician teams.

Required Skills & Experience

- Technical Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise systems engineering, with at least 5 years dedicated to Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, and Windows Autopilot deployment.
- Identity & Access Management: Deep understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), hybrid domain environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy translation to modern MDM policies.
- Migration Expertise: Proven track record of successfully migrating large-scale environments from legacy systems (Ivanti/LANDesk experience is highly preferred) to Microsoft Intune.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)
- Additional certifications in Azure Administration or Cybersecurity
