Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Piping Engineer for a top energy company in Houston, TX. As part of a collaborative team of fifteen, this individual will leverage SolidWorks to design 3D structural skid-based models that integrate a variety of mechanical, static, and electrical equipment. Daily responsibilities include producing and reviewing a wide range of technical drawings, such as piping layouts, general arrangements, isometrics, schedules, tie-point/interface diagrams, insulation details, and structural general arrangement drawings. Additional tasks involve preparing weld and connection details, foundation and equipment support drawings, weight/center of gravity reports, manual valve lists, HVAC ducting layouts, instrumentation diagrams, process and instrument flow diagrams, pump alignment drawings, and OSHA-compliant handrail, ladder, walkway, and platform details.

Required Skills & Experience
5-10 YOE as a piping designer
Proficiency in SolidWorks OR CADWorx; plus if both (if only cadworx, must have interest or drive to learn SolidWorks
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Prior data center experience
Prior experience in the Petrochemical or Downstream Oil & Gas industry
Navisworks software proficiency
