Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Legal Assistant to join one of our clients in the Houston area. This is a permanent placement opportunity that requires 100% in office. Work hours are 8am-5pm.

This role will assist with the following:

- Managing calendars and schedules for deadlines, hearings, mediation deposition and conference meetings
- Drafting documents for basic pleadings, petitions, answers, motions responses, hearing notices, deposition notices, etc..
- Creating charts and outlines
- Communicating with clients, opposing counsel and court personnel

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years as a legal assistant with Commercial Litigation
- 1+ year with e-filing experience and Texas litigation
- Knowledge of current Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (TRCP)
- Excellent communication skills- written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paces, high stakes environment with legal personnel
- Ability to be self-sufficient, stay organized and meet deadlines

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Current notary license
