Job Description
The IT Business Analyst – Asset Support serves as a key liaison between the Asset business units and the Information Technology (IT) department. In this role, the analyst works closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and ensure that all technology initiatives align with IT strategy and overall business objectives. The analyst is responsible for managing requirements throughout the full project lifecycle and ensuring that IT services and solutions continuously support and enhance operations across all Assets.
This position actively represents the needs and priorities of Asset teams to internal IT planning groups, ensuring that business objectives are clearly understood and adequately supported. The analyst provides ongoing functional support for the IT measurement, accounting, and scheduling portfolio by coordinating user administration, resolving issues, facilitating training, and measuring the value and effectiveness of these tools. They oversee projects from initial concept through completion, manage scope changes, and maintain strong communication with users to keep them engaged and informed throughout the process.
The analyst ensures that IT software, tools, and solutions meet or exceed user expectations by continually evaluating performance, gathering feedback, and recommending improvements. They build and maintain strong working relationships across IT, business units, and vendor partners, identifying potential issues or risks early in the evaluation or negotiation stages. Additionally, this role coordinates the delivery of IT services to business users in each Asset, ensuring that users receive timely support and consistent service quality.
Candidates must be willing to go onsite 5 days a week in Houston, Tx
Pay rate: $65-$70 per hour

Required Skills & Experience
3–5 years of experience in Oil & Gas economics, IT systems administration/analysis, or business analysis.
Working knowledge of maintenance management systems.
Working knowledge of cloud application infrastructure and environments.
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues and perform application troubleshooting.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across
departments.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, understandable language.

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution
