Job Description
An Insight Global client is seeking a SQL BI Analyst to support a critical enterprise data migration initiative. This individual will serve as an extension of the operational data team, helping business users validate data, run ad hoc reporting requests, and support ongoing production activities while internal resources are dedicated to migration efforts. This is an urgent, short-term engagement (approximately 3 months) with potential for extension based on business needs and performance.
Day to Day:
Support business users by running data validations and fulfilling ad hoc reporting requests
Investigate and respond to tickets submitted through JIRA
Create and modify SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data
Develop and maintain SSRS reports
Work directly with the application and data team to support operational workloads
Assist with backlog reduction efforts related to a large-scale migration project
Participate in bi-weekly team meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of data requests
Help ensure business users have confidence in data quality ahead of migration activities

Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience writing complex SQL queries in a Microsoft SQL Server environment
Experience creating and maintaining reports using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
Background supporting business users with data requests, reporting, and analysis
Experience working within a ticketing-driven environment (JIRA or similar)
Ability to handle multiple ad hoc requests and shifting priorities
Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable working in a support/operations-focused role rather than a project-based environment
Ability to overlap with U.S. Central Time business hours through at least 8 AM – 1 PM CST
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with the Microsoft BI stack
Databricks experience
AWS cloud exposure
Insurance, finance, claims, or other highly data-driven industry experience
Previous experience supporting U.S.-based teams or organizations
Experience working with offshore/onshore distributed teams
