Job Description
Insight Global is currently looking for a Hybrid Cloud Engineer for one of our largest retail clients in Houston, TX. This person will be responsible for supporting a major infrastructure modernization initiative, with a primary focus on providing Nutanix expertise during the migration from the Katy data center to the Dallas data center. They will play a key role in supporting hybrid cloud platforms, datacenter technologies, and virtualization environments while partnering closely with internal teams and third‑party consultants throughout the migration effort. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with Nutanix and enterprise virtualization, along with working knowledge of cloud environments such as Azure and GCP and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. This position will be 5 days a week onsite in Katy, TX, with half day Fridays, and the salary range for this position will be between $120,000 and $150,000 per year.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure or hybrid cloud engineering roles
Hands-on experience supporting, administering, or migrating virtualization platforms in datacenter environments
Working knowledge of hybrid cloud platforms with exposure to Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Strong datacenter experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and virtualization technologies
Experience supporting infrastructure modernization or migration initiatives in partnership with internal teams and vendors
Strong hands-on experience with Nutanix technologies, including AHV and Prism, with the ability to troubleshoot and support migrations
Working knowledge of VMware technologies such as ESXi and vCenter in enterprise environments
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working in hybrid cloud environments spanning on‑prem and public cloud
Exposure to Azure and/or GCP in an enterprise infrastructure setting
Prior experience supporting or participating in datacenter or virtualization migrations
Familiarity with Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) or cloud-adjacent Nutanix workloads
Interest in growing cloud and architecture skillsets over time
