Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a growing engineering team for a leading drilling organization. This role is responsible for providing leadership, technical oversight, and strategic direction for a team of engineers supporting operational and engineering initiatives across the business. The successful candidate will act as the key liaison between engineering, operations, and executive stakeholders, ensuring priorities are aligned and projects are executed effectively.
This position is heavily focused on people leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and prioritization rather than hands-on design work. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing and mentoring engineers, directing project execution, balancing competing business requests, setting team priorities, and collaborating with operations leaders to deliver engineering solutions. The Engineering Manager will also play a key role in scaling the team, improving cross-functional communication, and developing engineering talent.
The ideal candidate brings a combination of strong engineering credibility and proven leadership experience. This individual will be viewed as a trusted partner to senior leadership and has the opportunity to grow into broader leadership responsibilities over time. This is a full time role based out of Houston with the expectation to be in office 5 days per week.
