Job Description
A large oil and gas operator is hiring a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join their team in Houston. The company is launching a major initiative to build and operate advanced on-site power systems for hyperscale data centers across the U.S. The main areas of focus for this Power Innovation Project are natural gas turbines, reciprocating engines, battery energy storage, and distributed control systems. The Electrical Engineer must have 10+ years of experience and experience engaging and interacting with project leads, executive leadership, and must be self-driven. This role's responsibilities are divided up by: 30% Project Management, 30% Design Review, 20% Procurement, 20% Miscellaneous tasks. There is required travel up to 50%.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
8+ years of electrical engineering experience
Power system design and analysis experience
Familiarity with tools ETAP, MATLAB, Simulink
Experience with SCADA systems and PLC programming
Proficiency in IEEE and NEC standards
PE license
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Masters Degree
Experience with transformer systems
Load study experience for data center power generation
Industry contacts with local power providers
