Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Electrical & Controls Technician to join a team of six at a top energy company in the Cypress, TX area. The technician will be working on gas turbine and oil and gas generator packages in a manufacturing setting. They should have
experience with wire sizes ranging from 18 AWG to 1/0 AWG, as well as with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, cutters, air-driven tools, and torque wrenches. The technician will work on equipment such as motor control centers, fire and gas systems, generator control systems, and vibration monitoring instrumentation. They will read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings daily, including P&IDs and work instructions.

Required Skills & Experience
5-15 Years of experience in electrical assembly, wiring of control panels, or rotating equipment manufacturing
5-15 Years of experience with gas turbines & compressors in the Energy, Manufacturing or Industrial industry
High School GED
Experience with MCCs, Fire & Gas Systems, Generator control systems and Vibration monitoring instrumentations, control panels, conduit systems, cable trays, and wire terminations
Ability to identify and work with electrical components (breakers, disconnects, starters, relays, overloads, timers, etc.).
Proficiency with wire sizes from 18 AWG up to 1/0 AWG.
