Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Electrical & Controls Tech to join a team of six at a top Energy company in the Cypress, TX area. The person will be working on Gas Turbine & Oil and Gas Generator Packages. The role is hands on in a manufacturing setting and this individual should have experience with wire sizes ranging from 18 AWG to 1/0 AWG as well as with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, cutters), air driven tools, and torque wrenches. They will be assembling and inspecting cable glands (specifically Hawke/SMP cable glands). Additionally, they will be wiring up the control panells and testing electrical equipment.

Required Skills & Experience
High school GED
4-5 YOE in wiring of control panels
4-5 YOE in the Energy, Manufacturing or Industrial industry (plus if coming from assembly setting)
1-2 YOE assembling and installing cable glands
Ability to identify and work with electrical components (breakers, disconnects, starters, relays, overloads, timers, etc.).
Skilled in the use of hand tools (screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, cutters), air driven tools, and torque wrenches.
Proficiency with wire sizes from 18 AWG up to 1/0 AWG.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
4-5 YOE with Gas turbines & Compressors
Journeyman/Wireman's license
Experience with equipment such as
• Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
• Fire & Gas systems
• Generator control systems
Vibration monitoring instrumentation
