Job Description
An employer in Houston, TX is looking for a Sr. DevOps Engineer to join their offshore team in India. This person will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support scalable, reliable, and secure applications. Other responsibilities will include but not limited to automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of environments, set up logging, alerting, and monitoring with tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/EFK stacks, troubleshoot production issues and provide on-call support when needed, and drive continuous improvement of DevOps practices, tools, and processes. This person must have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to solution and provide recommendations for improvement. Candidate must have strong communication skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Based on knowledge and years of experience, this position offers a pay range of $12-18/hr.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience as a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineer
Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Solid experience with Linux system administration and shell scripting
Experience with containers & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS)
Strong knowledge of IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK).
Familiarity with networking, security best practices, and IAM policies.
Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Bash, Go, etc.).
Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer certification.
Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack).
Knowledge of database administration (SQL/NoSQL) in AWS
Previous airlines industry experience
