Insight Global is seeking an I&E Designer IV to join the team of 3 at a large upstream company in Houston, Texas. The company is seeking a highly experienced Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Designer IV to support complex engineering and capital project initiatives based in Houston, Texas. This role is responsible for developing detailed electrical and instrumentation design packages for large industrial and energy facilities, including instrumentation layouts, loop and wiring diagrams, cable schedules, electrical one-lines, schematics, and equipment layouts. The I&E Designer IV works closely with engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to translate engineering requirements into construction-ready deliverables, support design and constructability reviews, and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and internal specifications such as NEC, API, ISA, and IEEE. This position also provides technical guidance to junior designers, manages design changes and as-built documentation, supports procurement and construction through material take-offs and vendor data review, and contributes across all project phases including FEED, detailed design, execution, and field support for both brownfield and greenfield projects.

Required Skills & Experience
7 - 10 years of experience
Experience as a designer in either Upstream or Midstream oil & gas
Experience with Emmerson, Rockwell, Alan Bradley, or related
Strong AutoCAD experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Comfortable traveling to South Texas (Light travel)
