Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support one of our largest oil and gas clients in Downtown Houston. This individual will join an established cybersecurity team focused on protecting and maintaining secure operations across the organization. This role is fully onsite and involves hands on work across security monitoring, incident response, and forensic analysis. Day to day, the analyst will be responsible for reviewing threat intelligence, triaging iHELP tickets, monitoring and analyzing activity within Elastic SIEM, and supporting investigations related to potential security incidents. The role also involves working with a variety of security tools including Elastic, Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, and CyberHaven, as well as performing forensic activities such as memory acquisition, disk imaging, and basic reverse engineering. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in cybersecurity operations, experience working in Linux environments, and the ability to clearly communicate findings and updates to both technical and executive stakeholders. The pay rate for this position is going to be $50/hr.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of hands on cybersecurity experience within a SOC or security operations environment
• Strong experience working with Elastic SIEM is required
• Experience with endpoint security tools such as Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, or CyberHaven
• Exposure to incident response, threat detection, and security investigations
• Foundational knowledge of digital forensics, including memory acquisition, disk imaging, or basic reverse engineering concepts
• Experience working in Linux environments
• Ability to analyze security events and translate findings into clear, actionable insights
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and executive stakeholders
