The Contract Cost Control will support the cost control activities and be a part of the project controls/services team for the Gulf of Mexico offshore developments. Responsibilities include reviewing purchase requisitions for cost/coding allocations accuracy. Setting up and maintaining tools to monitor commitments and actual expenditures, reviewing invoices for completeness, and preparing the project estimate at completion forecast. Performing financial closeout of projects. Reviewing timesheet submissions and contractor hours reports verifying all working hours are captured monthly and reported. Calculating project cash flow, prepare cash (advance) calls for accounting and verifying values requested are correct. Producing and monitoring monthly project forecasts, value of work done/field estimates reports for submission to finance and accounting. Analyzing and substantiating variances from forecast and from budget. Preparing and reviewing with team lead and project managers to ensure budgets, commitments, actuals, and forecasts are reconciled on a regular basis . Assisting in the development of department initiatives related to cost control tools and templates. Ad-hoc internal/external project cost reporting. Assisting to coordinate approval for expenditure submissions. Ensuring confidentiality of files, i.e: contract negotiations, cost information, timesheets, etc.
