Our client is currently seeking a Cost Analyst to join their team in Houston, TX. The Cost Analyst will be joining the project controls team for the Gulf of Mexico Offshore Developments and will work cross functionally with the drilling and completions team, accounting, materials group and supply chain. The Cost Analyst will be responsible for the management and delivery of cost control activities within assigned projects and providing support to various teams with cost allocations and cost codes. They will manage all supplier invoice-related issues, assist with purchase order management, prepare and review monthly accruals, monthly forecasts, and EAC, perform financial closeout of projects. And execute regular reconciliations between SAP and Well View. They will be responsible for investigating and resolving discrepancies between commitments and actuals, time writing, material transfers, etc. ensuring misallocations are brought to the finance team for reclassification. The Cost Analyst will be expected to operate with a high degree of independence and autonomy, demonstrated by strong organization, time management and decision-making skills.

Bachelors degree (or 5 additional years of related experience)
3-10 years of experience working as a Cost Analyst supporting offshore construction projects, drilling and/or completions operations
Ability to work on multiple projects at once
Functional experience with SAP ERP modules (SAP FICO) and be familiar with transaction codes to support cost control reporting
Experience with Ariba or other P2P interfaces to SAP
Previous experience working in the field or with field personnel
