Job Description

• Perform full-cycle, single-seat Texas commercial title examinations from start to finish
• Conduct title research using Title Data, searching a minimum of 35 years (and further when required)
• Examine and analyze:
○ Chains of title
○ Easements, restrictions, and encumbrances
○ Metes & bounds legal descriptions
○ Probate and bankruptcy records
• Leverage prior policies and internal agreements when applicable
• Prepare accurate, defensible title examinations for complex commercial and acreage transactions
• Work independently with full ownership of files and final work product

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years Strong Texas title examination experience (true Texas full-search model)
• Hands-on experience using Title Data
• Proven background in commercial and/or acreage examinations
• Solid experience with:
○ Metes & bounds and legal descriptions
○ Probate matters impacting title
○ Bankruptcy court record research
Ability to work autonomously in a remote, single-seat environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with Resware
• Heavy acreage-focused examination background
• Senior-level commercial experience (large-value, complex transactions)
• Prior experience living and working in Texas
Familiarity using prior policies to streamline research where appropriate
