Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Civil/Structural Engineer for an oil and gas operator in Corpus Christi. The Civil/Structural Engineer will play a key role in supporting the client's mission to operate safely and reliably working on 5-10 projects that focus on a civil/structural scope. This involves understanding and evaluating structures within the facility, working closely with the Engineering Services team to provide civil/structural expertise and quality assurance reviews of engineering work packages (EWP) and deliverables. This role will provide senior level support on brownfield projects of varying complexity with limited supervision. Responsibilities for this position include the following:

- Provide civil/structural engineering support for facility-wide improvement initiatives as part of a multi-discipline engineering team, including occasional field support to survey structural repairs/modifications

- Review and approve engineering work packages and detailed contractor deliverables

- Participate in model reviews and risk assessment workshops (MOCs and PSSRs)

- Provide guidance on technical inquiries, dispense technical recommendations, and support the advancement of civil/structural engineering work processes

- Interfacing with stakeholders when scoping out the projects

- Managing projects from beginning to end, working on management of change, drafting and submitting AFEs, and coordinating with the Contruction group with the maintenance of the project

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering



5-10 years of experience with process plant, petrochemical, or LNG (downstream or midstream project engineer or project manager experience)



PE

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, Navisworks, and STAAD



Construction experience



LNG Project Manager experience
