Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Business Central Developer / Analyst for a permanent, hybrid opportunity based in downtown Houston. This role sits onsite Monday through Thursday with remote work on Friday. This position will support and enhance Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, working closely with the Director of ERP and business stakeholders.
This is a highly technical role with a 70/30 split between development and functional support (more on development side). The Business Central Developer / Analyst will be responsible for building and maintaining AL extensions, integrations, and system customizations, while also supporting end users, troubleshooting issues, and translating business requirements into technical solutions. The ideal candidate has strong experience across core BC modules and understands end‑to‑end business processes such as order‑to‑cash and procure‑to‑pay. PR $110,000–$120,000 annually.

Required Skills & Experience
- 4–5+ years of hands‑on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience
- Strong AL development experience (extensions and customizations)
- Experience building and maintaining integrations within Business Central
- Proficiency with Visual Studio Code, SQL Server, and Azure DevOps
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries for reporting and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of Business Central functional areas (sales, purchasing, assembly orders, purchase orders)
- Knowledge of order‑to‑cash and procure‑to‑pay processes
- Experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical solutions
- Ability to troubleshoot system issues and support end users effectively
- Strong communication skills, able to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting rental modules or equipment rental processes within Business Central
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certification
- Experience conducting user training and creating documentation
- Experience working in a hybrid role balancing development and functional support
