Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced AWS Developer to support and enhance critical baggage handling and scanning applications within the Baggage Technology organization. This role will focus on the development and modernization of cloud-native applications supporting Plan Scan, baggage tracking, baggage routing validation, and arrival scanning solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS cloud services, Java Spring Boot microservices, Docker containers, and DynamoDB, with experience building complex business logic that ensures baggage is accurately routed based on passenger itineraries, flight connections, baggage characteristics, and airline operational rules.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of software development experience.
3+ years developing AWS cloud-native applications.
Strong experience building Docker-based microservices.
Hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot development.
Experience developing high-volume transactional applications.
Experience implementing complex business rules and decision engines.
Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Airline, airport operations, logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience.
Experience with baggage handling systems, scanning solutions, or tracking platforms.
Knowledge of passenger itinerary validation and flight operations workflows.
Experience with event-driven integrations and real-time scanning solutions.
Experience supporting mobile scanner applications and backend APIs.
