A healthcare employer in Houston, TX is seeking an AR Revenue Cycle Specialist to join their team. This position is hybrid and will be onsite 1 day a week once the initial training period has been completed. In this position the specialist will be responsible for reviewing denied or rejected insurance claims, investigating the reasons for denial, correcting any errors in billing or coding, compiling supporting documentation and submitting appeals to insurance companies to recover outstanding patient balances, while actively monitoring claim status and following up with payers to resolve outstanding issues. This person will be working in a catch all que that has a back log of more complex issues. The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive revenue cycle experience end to end including billing, posting payments, refunds and follow up.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of Revenue Cycle Experience – End to End
Strong experience in medical billing, claims, and revenue cycle management
Experience with complicated claims
Extensive Epic system knowledge
Strong understanding of billing procedures, denial management, and payer requirements
