Job Description
An employer in Houston is looking for a permanent Accountant to join their team in Houston, TX for a hybrid role. The pay range for this role begins at $27/hr. This role supports daily accounting operations by preparing journal entries, reconciling bank and GL accounts, and managing inventory costing and financial controls. The accountant collaborates with operations, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate reporting, maintain lease and vendor records in SAP, and process expenses, intercompany invoices, and accruals. They assist with month-end close, internal audits, and inventory counts, contributing to timely financial statements and operational efficiency

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting (NO FINANCE DEGREES)
o Will accept candidates working towards degrees currently
• 1-3 years' experience in an accounting or related role (INTERNSHIPS APPLY HERE)
• Familiarity with journal entries within bank reconciliation
• Strong within excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, etc.)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• High GPA (accounting)
• Manufacturing experience
• ERP/SAP experience (Business One preferred)
• Understanding of GAAP & IFRS
