Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a Sediment Remediation Engineer for a client in Houston. This person will assist with the development and evaluation of contaminated site investigations and potential remedial designs. Their media of interest include groundwater, sediment porewater, surface water, subsurface sediments, surface sediments, riverbanks, and floodplain soils. They will need to be able to develop a conceptual site model to understand intra- and inter-system fate and transport dynamics. They will need to be able to convey evaluations and proposed approaches to both technical and non-technical staff both verbally and in writing. Finally, they will need to be able to critically evaluate alternative approaches to problems proposed by other consultants.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum Bachelors degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or associated field
Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain with 3 years
Experience working with sediment remediation technologies
Experience preparing sediment remediation designs for river and coastal sites

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience writing specifications and drawing plans using AutoCAD
Professional Engineering (PE) license (Any state, but Oregon would be even better)
