An employer is looking to hire a Senior Jira Cloud Developer in the Frisco, TX area. This role will be working hybrid onsite 3 days a week. This Senior Jira Developer should have a deep understanding of Jira configurations and development, especially within the context of Jira Data Center transitioning to Jira Cloud. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Jira configuration, with specific expertise in Adaptavist ScriptRunner, Appfire Power Scripts, and Jira Expressions. You will be responsible for converting and adapting legacy configurations, scripts, and workflows from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud, ensuring seamless transitions while maintaining functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Jira Configuration and Script Development:
Convert and reconfigure existing Jira Data Center configurations, specifically Adaptavist ScriptRunner Behavior scripts, to work seamlessly in Jira Cloud. This will include re-writing Groovy code into Jira Expressions where necessary.
Migrate Appfire Power Scripts from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud, ensuring all SIL (Simple Issue Language) code is rewritten in JavaScript/TypeScript and fully functional in the cloud environment.
Convert Jira Workflow Conditions/Validators from Data Center (using ScriptRunner or SIL scripts) to Jira Cloud, reconfiguring them with Jira Expressions or alternative cloud-compatible methods.
Collaborate Across Teams:
Work closely with other Jira administrators, developers, and IT teams to ensure seamless migration and integration of configurations.
Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on best practices for Jira Cloud configurations and scripting.
Optimization and Troubleshooting:
Continuously monitor and optimize Jira Cloud configurations to ensure performance and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Document all processes, scripts, and configurations clearly to ensure long-term maintainability and ease of understanding for future developers.
Provide training and support as necessary to internal teams on new configurations and processes in the cloud environment.

Experience with Live Fields App and the ability to integrate it within Jira Cloud configurations.
