Job Description
This role provides hands-on support for public safety systems—including CAD/RMS, mobile applications, and alerting platforms—while also maintaining and troubleshooting technology in police, fire, and EMS vehicles such as MDTs, modems/routers, docking stations, and in-car cameras. The technician delivers Tier 2 desktop support for municipal employees, covering Windows, Microsoft 365, VPN, and peripheral issues across multiple city locations. Additional responsibilities include device imaging and deployment using tools like SCCM or Intune, maintaining documentation and asset records, performing basic networking troubleshooting, coordinating with vendors for escalations, and supporting technology onboarding and equipment refreshes. This position is fully onsite, 5 days per week, and participates in an on-call rotation approximately every 10 weeks.

Required Skills & Experience
3–5 years desktop or field support experience.
Strong Windows OS and Microsoft 365 support experience.
Experience supporting in-vehicle or rugged hardware (public safety preferred).
Ability to troubleshoot independently in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments.
Solid understanding of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to travel between municipal sites; some lifting required..
