Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a Senior Project Engineer with expertise in Traffic Engineering, specifically signal design. This position would be a part of the traffic team in the North Texas region. This position's primary focus will be traffic signal design as well as pavement marking, signage and illumination design. This individual will oversee production management and quality control for projects with clients such as TxDot, NTTA, DART and major airports in the DFW area. This position is fully onsite in one of the three DFW locations: Dallas, Fort Worth or Plano.



Major responsibilities:

* Traffic signal design as well as pavement markings, signage and illumination design.

* Responsible for project planning, managing a team and delegating tasks to individuals.

* Able to manage budgeting responsibilities and coordinate schedules.

* Work alongside other disciplines to coordinate projects.

* Planning and development of projects and ensuring adherence to project requirements.

* Oversees and provides technical guidance to team members on complex scopes of work.

* Coordinates between direct reports and the client.

* Lead delivery on large, multidisciplinary projects.

* Assist with marketing responsibilities and project proposals.

* Responsible for hiring and developing staff members including planning for staff reporting, performance reviews, and scheduling.

Required Skills & Experience

Must haves:

* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

* Professional Engineering License (P.E.)

* 8-10 years of experience as a traffic engineer.

* Traffic signal design experience.

* MicroStation or relevant CAD experience.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:

* Master's Degree

* Previous management experience within traffic engineering.

* Experience working with TxDOT.
